LONG PULSED YAG

Long Pulsed Yag is a treatment for vascular lesions, including Spider Veins and Cherry Angiomas. Spider Veins, or Telangiectasias may be small red, Purple, or blue vessels that occur on the face and legs that are visible through the skin and blanch with pressure. Long Pulsed Yag transmits energy to heat, damage and collapse vascular lesions. For Optimal results multiple treatments may be needed spaced several weeks apart.

It is Important to avoid sun exposure, strenuous exercise, and hot Tubs and saunas for forty eight hours after treatment as they may dilate the treated vessels. 

RECOVERY

While healing varies according to the individual and extent of Long Pulsed Yag Treatment, most find that healing is improved within a week. Mild Bruising, Discoloration and minimal swelling and scabbing to the treatment area is normal after Treatment and improves gradually. Larger vessels may require more time for healing. Cold compress may be applied to the treatment area to reduce redness and swelling. Compression stockings may help after treatment of spider Veins on the legs. skin care is important following treatment including Adequate Sunscreen to the treated area.
