Dr. Epps is a nationally trained low country native advanced aesthetic fellowship trained plastic surgeon. Dr Epps was raised on the coast in South Carolina. His professional education includes a Masters Degree in Medical Pharmacology and a Doctorate in Medicine from the prestigious Tulane University School of Medicine as well as a rigorous eight year post doctorate training in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Additionally, he has completed multiple Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Fellowships with extensive specialized training in Oculoplastic Surgery, Facial Aesthetic Surgery and Aesthetic Breast Surgery in New York, NY and Atlanta, GA and is currently in private practice in the greater Bluffton/Hilton Head Island region.

During his youth in the low country, he excelled in science and math as well as athletics including tennis and golf. He was recruited to play NCAA tennis in college in Ohio and while there obtained his undergraduate degree in neuroscience with an emphasis on Biochemistry and Psychology. He then completed graduate school with a combined masters degree in medical pharmacology and a doctorate in medicine from the Tulane university in New Orleans, LA. While at Tulane, he was awarded a plastic surgery fellowship with dr. Ernest Chiu MD, a renowned plastic and reconstructive surgery and now director of the Helen L. and Martin S. Kimmel hyperbaric and advanced wound healing center at NYU Langone Medical Center.
Following dual-surgical residency training, Dr. Epps was awarded a position as the aesthetic plastic surgery fellow with Dr. Jim Romanelli, a prominent breast, body, and facial plastic surgeon in Long Island, NY. In tandem, Dr. Epps was an aesthetic plastic surgery fellow with dr. alan kisner (Kisner Plastic Surgery), a renowned NYC/Long Island-based South African born aesthetic plastic surgeon sought after by patients all over the world for facelift surgery.
Additionally, Dr. Epps was awarded a highly sought after fellowship in oculoplastic and facial aesthetic surgery in atlanta (Buckhead), GA with famed and Widely published plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Codner. During his fellowship, he focused extensively on aesthetic facial plastic procedures including face and necklift as well as complex eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) of the upper and lower eyelids on both men and women, and complex reconstruction of eyelids often involving the correction of surgical complications resulting from routine cosmetic eyelid And Face Surgery. During His Time With Dr. Codner, He Also Served As
The Southeastern Society Of Plastic And Reconstructive Surgeons Inaugural Aesthetic And Breast Fellow. Prior To Relocating To Bluffton, He Gained Experience As One Of Only A Handful Of Full-Body Plastic And Reconstructive Surgeons To Be Selected For An American Association Of Facial Plastic Surgery (AAFPRS) Fellowships Which Provided A Concentrated Focus On Surgical And Non-Surgical Aesthetic Rejuvenation Of The Face (Rhytidectomy) And Nose (Rhinoplasty).
Dr. Epps Is A Surgeon-Researcher And Inventor With Over Two Decades Of Experience In Scientific Research And Device Development. He Is One Of A Handful Of Physician Researchers To Hold A Clinical Research Coordinator Certification By The National Institutes Of Health Having Participated In Multiple Medical And Pharmacological Labs Across Multiple Medical Disciplines Of Translational Research. In Addition To Numerous Research Grants, Publications And Awards Including A Civilian Award For Achievement In Science By The United States Air Force For His Work On Artificial Muscle Design, Dr. Epps Has Also Held Multiple Speaking Roles And Numerous Medical Meetings Through The United States, Most Recently Involving Techniques To Genetically Diagnose And Pharmacologically Treat Surgical Site Infections Regarding Medical Implant-Based Surgery, And Has Recently Been Invited To The Podium To Present His Research Nationally For The American Society Of Plastic Surgeons, The Aesthetic Society Of Plastic Surgeons, The International Society Of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, And The Southeastern Society Of Plastic Surgeons. Dr Epps Has Also Served As The President And CEO Of St. Anthony Biomedical Since 2017- A Company Dedicated To Medical Device Innovations Including Improvements In Medical Device Implementation Particularly During Breast Implant Surgery.Â
